Dps and amplifier gain settings question

I am using a Dayton 408 dsp
the max input voltage is 3.2 volts
and the output voltage is 3.5 volts

my headunit at 32 volume setting is around 3.1 volts so I am good on that measurment.

my question is how do you set your amplifier gain

if the amp is a true CEA rated amp of 4x100.
speakers are a 4 ohm speaker so I would assume a reading of 20 volts output per channel on the amplifier would be giving a 100 watts per channel

Do you set the gain where it measures the voltage out put to be 100 watts per channel, Or do you keep going and measure the max voltage the amplifier can do to clipping using an OScope.
Then Use that calculation to see what the max watts the amplifier do With no distortio.

Then use the dsp to control voltage to adjust down if your speaker is less than 100 watts rated?
