downfire ??

if i have 2 10's in a downfire box (sealed)

and my xmax is 16mm should the sub be 1.5" off the floor or should the lowest part of the box be 1.5" off the ground for the air to move around??

I would measure the 1.5" from the subwoofer, but I'm no expert.

I would give it at least 1.5" from the lowest part of the sub, not the box. But I agree with mdillon, 2" would be better.
