Doubling up wire?

I think youd be in the ball park of 2 gauge. Defientely not MORE than 1/0 like the poster above said

Just do it right the first time and spend $50 on 1/0 or even 2/0 weld cable from weldsupply

It should be i have 2 runs of 4 gauge going from my front battery to my 2 rear batteries and i havent had a problem. The only reason i did though is because i already had 4 gauge ran and i didnt have any 1/0 long enough and i was trying to get to a show.

Yeah Ill get 1/0 next paycheck //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif until then I guess im going to try to double up some 4 guage

1 peice of 4g knu wire contains just over 2000 strands, their 1/0g wire contains 51xx strands (IIRC) so 2 runs of 4g will be just under 1/0 wire (if you go with knu)

id just go with 1/0, 2 runs of it ;o

Strand count doesnt mean shit.

House 6 gauge is one strand. That doesnt mean it can or can not handle more current then multiple strand 16 gauge. Strand count is more important in flexablity.
