double din

I just got a 1999 Oldsmobile Delta 88. I am looking at putting a double din head unit in it with navigation. The only thing is that i have never messed with double din. How do you know if it can fit a double din HU? It looks large enough to me but i dont want to spend a lot of money and have it not fit. Thx.

You can always measure the opening to see if a 6" or 7" will fit. Just give an extra half inch or so around for the harness if need be.

are you sure its a 99? just checked crutchfield's "outfit my car" section and 1988 is the last year the delta is on the olds list. and according to crutchfield DD wont fit.

they have it listed as an eighty eight.... And i know they say it wont fit but i think it will just may take some light modification.... I just measured the stock Hu and it is 7" by 4 1/8".
