,and the guy didn't recommend the Pioneer because supposedly the iPod connection takes about 30 seconds to load up and it does so each time. .

any type of unit that has that many features including navi is gonna take awhile to boot up

I think my D3 took about 20-30 sec

my DNX8120 take about the same

So better to go with the Eclipse? I think that route seems the best way to go at the moment.
