Double DIN Navi w/active?

I think I am going to do the W505 and the NVE-P1. Then I can add imprint if I want even more features. I believe the W505 does active control of the crossovers and time alignment by itself though. Then you can add the NVE-P1(which docks in the W505) for Navi and Bluetooth.

I guess it just does Time correction? No active?

you have to get the h701 too... the w505 is the unit, the nve-p1 adds nav to it, and then the h701 is the external processor for active.

What a bunch of BS:rolleyes: Add this add that. You even have to add for SAT radio. Cant someone just make a HU that does it all?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

yeah they could and then they would sell it for $2000... it is a lot better that companies start with a base model and you can add the features that YOU need or want. I wouldn't want to have to pay a bunch of money for a h/u with features i didn't need. If they do it this way you only have to pay for the features you want.

A Pioneer F90bt can be had on ebay for $600. I dont see anything the Alpine W505 does except time alignment to make it better then the F90bt? In fact it only has 2v preouts.
well the alpine is going to have the ability to expand and do active.. pioneer won't. And all of those features were just added to the pioneer this year. Last years avic d3 didn't do bluetooth and all the sat/ ipod was extra too, just like it is on the alpine. Not saying one is better than the other, but obviously alpine can charge a premium because you need the features of the alpine don't you? Otherwise you would just buy the pioneer!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

kenwood dnx8120 not sure if it's active but i got it and love it never thought i would a kenwood either but it's great and uses Garmin for nav
