double din head unit

I have recently bought a vwtransporter, I love the look of a double din head unit with sat nav combined.

I have 2 air vents above my existing single head unit slot that dont work anyway, so wondering if anyone knows of or would I be able to custom fit some kind of cage to house the double din and do away with the blower vents completely?

Yea but you'd have to cut out the vents. You can always order a new deck surround and cut the vents out from that if you dont want to mess with the stock one. Heck maybe theres one thats already made for double din. Go onto crutchfield.com and sonicelectronixx.com and put in your vehicle and see if any double dins match up with your car. If so then they'll include the mount kit and directions for it for free
