Double Baffle question?

OK well, i need some MDF to raise my sub up and i dont want to buy a whole nother 4x8 sheet. Im getting an Re SX 15". Could i try to glue some of my scrap peices together and like a 18x18" square, to put the sub up on? instead of covering the whole top. Since theyre skinny peices can i plane mdf??? - after its glued.

How much space should i have between the pole vent and the mdf? Im not sure if i should use 1/2" or 3/4" MDF

you can buy a 48x16 inch piece of mdf from home depot for 5.67 or a 2'x2' square for 3.27 from lowes

yeah, i need 38x25.5" ......... i think i might just go with the 2x2' and cut it to a 18x18" square or something. thanks...

not all Home Depots sell a 2'x2' sheet all do sell a 2'x4'. it cost like 8 or 9 bux. or check with someone in the lumber and building materials dept and ask them if they have any cull MDF sheets.

Hmm... yeah i checked the scrap at homedepot... they didnt have much. but idk i think they did have some 2x2' peices... it was half inch though.... ill probably get a 2x4ft 3/4" mdf... im gonna be putting this box together starting on wendsday... i have all the peices cut out i just have to get that peice for the top, cut the sub hole, and the terminal plate hole... Finally almost done... But now ebay doesnt have the RE SX 15" for sale..... what luck...

im wondering if its gonna work though, when i cut the side peices on the table saw i dont think they came out exactly the same... i guess ill find out...
