Door Speakers Question. Help!

alright, so im going to have 1 Fi Q 15 in the trunk, and i really wanna upgrade my other speakers. do you think i should upgrade my his or lows? or what about buying some midbass speakers? would there be a big difference in SQ? i wann have a great sounding accurate bass response. thanks.

and? what brand would you recommend. post your favs.

Yes, definitely amp them. There's many comps out there to chose from & all vary in sound. It's personal preference, so its up to you to find what you like. If was me though, I'd go w/ the highest dollar ID's I could afford (& power properly).

how much do you have to spend for comps/amp? Low budget would be Profile amp and RSD's and would keep up with a single Q no problem...

alright alright, i gotcha, now im mainly looking for the bass inbetweeen my 15 and the music, the speakers i have now put out great sound quality, no question or prob there, i just want a larger variety of bass hitting while i play music, not just the 15. so is that the same thing with the comps and amps?

The majority of your music comes from your components. In comparison your sub only plays a small fraction of the music you hear (~100 or so Hz of the ~20,000 or so audible to the human ear). Unless your HPF/LPF are set wrong, your not "missing" anything in between. You just need to heighten the frequencies your lacking. A good general rule of thumb (well there are no rules), if you want a good transition from mid bass too sub bass. Would be to use a driver w/ half the cone area of your woofer (in your case a 8"). Too many worry about their sub stage & I gotta admit its fun. But your front stage is the biggest piece to the puzzle.
