Door pod build

Those one aren't IN the doors, unless I'm not understanding you. Mounting depth from doing the pods that way, will eliminate many speakers from being a possiblity.

I want the pods to fit into the door pockets in my front doors, like the photo.

I just am unclear how to modify the DIY kick-pods and make them fit the door pocket.
