Door Panels

Im thinking about picking up some door panels for my 00 altima from the junk yard. I just got my car painted and now I wanna work on the inside. I heard fiberglass over the door panels, wasnt a good idea. What if I was to take some body filler and put over the door panels with some spray adhesive, then sand down, and finally primer and paint the panels. Does this sound like a good idea, or should I try something different? I aint trying to mod the door panels btw, im just trying to go with a new glossy color. Thanks
