I have 2 Kicker CVR 8" subs.

400w PEAK, 200w RMS. I think they are two ohm.

Im buying a 400 watt, 2 channel amp. This is just a small bass system for my home computer, that i plan to hook up with a rca cable from the amp.

How should I wire them up?

Do i have to wire them using both voice coils?

One thing I dont understand, whats the difference between 0.5 ohm, 2 ohm, and 4 ohm load?

the lower the ohm, the more your amplifier will give power in most circomstances BUT you gotta check if your amplifier IS stable at low ohm loads.

how do you plan on geting 12 volt power in the house?

I have a 110v power inverter that converts to 12v power.

Used it for the cb radios out my my grandpa's 18 wheeler.

use a deep cycle battery, works well for me.... but u need a charger that would act like a alternator........

I'd want a trickle-charger, not have the batt connected to a speed charger all the time.

500w, of pure cvr ownage for a little over $200. Question is, are they both dual 2's? or dual 4's. You said you think they're 2's but make sure. They are both DVC, not sure how many ohm could be 4ohm...thats what Kicker says.

mono block is one channel correct?
