I hate to do another compaing thread but i have not idea what subs to go with. I have 2400 watts @1ohm. So heres my thoughts

1 15" Fully loaded BTL

2 15" Qs

2 15" Mags

Im looking for a loud DD. Ive heard a Dantes(livinlife) BTL and it sounded great, but would either of the 2 options get louder? space is no issues as theyre goin in my explorer and they will be ported.Thanks

Did you mean Decibel or digital designs. A loud DD would be 9500-9900 series. As for your comparison, any of those would get loud off of 2400 watts, two mags or Q's would yank.

By DD he means loud Daily Driver. Just get the Q's come one man, this shit is getting rediculous, if you can afford it (and listen to alot of rock) go with the Mag's, but as the 12 test sessions tests have proven, the Q is louder down below 40hz and the mag excels above 40, not to say it doesnt have a good low end, just that Q has a BEASTLY low end. But the Mags are more effiecent, It really just depends on your install, the power you got and your wallet. If you listen to alot of rap and like to save money, get the Q's, but if you play alot of rock and like to cross your subs over higher to blend more with your front stage, go with the Mag's. If it was me, I wouldnt go with the BTL unless you had more power and you didn't want Mag/Q SQ. If it was me, I would go with the Q for my style of music.

Read Db Doms comparo on the mag's and q's and get what fits you and your install best.

how bout 8 fi x10's...u should be loud based on cone area alone....8 fi x10's has slightly more cone area than 3 btl 15's

but if u dont want to go that route...i would get 2 q 15's based on price and the performance u get with it

Sell your amp and get something else then Mags all the way.

If you keep the amp, I would go with the Qs based on wiring like CBF has said.

How many watts do you have at 2 ohms? Im in a similar situation as you, I have 2500watts as 1 ohm, and 1600 at 2 ohms. So I could run 2 15 Fi Q's at 1 ohm, or 2 15 SI Mags at 2 ohms. Im going with the Mags bc of the group buy and you wont be able to get them this cheap again (or at least I never could), and I have read too many good things about them to pass them up at this price. I would like to try something from Fi later tho, so sometime in the future I can see myself getting a BTL to utilize my full 2500watts at 1 ohm. That way I get the best of both worlds.

Just throwing those options out to you....

I have 2000 @2ohms but i might wanna sell the amp do to the customer service of the company. But i would like to know what sub has more of the punchy feeling. i know each sub can get loud and low but i want it to feel like your getting hit in the back. Thats the thing i loved about my ava when i had it.
