Feel The Bass In ur EYEs
JL Audio 18w3.d2. I've heard it could take 1200wrms @2 ohm easily. Is this true, JL rates it 500 wrms. I heard that one hit 160db on a 2.5k amp, 2.5k all to the sub and it was a daily driver... Is what I am hearing BS or is this particular JL sub severely underrated?

Based on that comment ur post is invalid.

depends on if you are blasting 20 htz tones or playing music. My little infinity reference takes around 1000 watts on music, but on a burp it pops and does all sorts of mean things. Just be smart... if you see the sub struggling, turn the gain back

I figured it was all BS. It's in a 3cube sealed enclosure. I currently have 2 that are wired down to 2 ohm powered by a JBL GTO 1200.1.II, and was considering purchasing another, to give each sub a dedicated amp. But they are already overpowered by 100 watts (+/- a few watts) according to JL's web site, and they are daily drivers...

Um... that's a dual 2 ohm sub. There is no way you have it wired to 2 ohms unless you are only using one voice coil.
