Doing big three! Worried about battery explostion!

you can do big 3 on stock battery, battery size doesnt matter, what sizew wire you use is determined by alt and battery size though, 1/0 is fine

ok so j, i have a 120a or so alt and my battery is probly not much bigger than stock. I am using 1/0 monster cable, how big o fuse?

ah, i ment fuses on the wire between the 2 batteries. not on the big 3.

I havent used fuses on either of my cars i did Big3 on....if you do it right and run it correctly i dont see a need for it.

fuses protect your wire from over current. user install has nothing to do with the need for them.

are you gettin a bigger alt? cause you are going to have to up it then, i would say a 120 like your alt is.

Theres something wrong with your alt and ur factory wire will burn you car to the ground than.

But most likely his alt is in normal working condition and doesnt have that as an issue.

because if you get say a 200amp alt and you have a 120amp fuse its gonna blow the fuse

oh ok ya that was obvious. i was just a little confused on how you worded it. but no i am not up grading my alt.

so if i get a kinetik 2000 can i just replace it will my battery up front or do i need to use the kinetik as a second battery in the back?

i would put it up front, especially if you dont know how old or what kind of shape that battery is in, not good to run a new battery and an old one
