Does winisd calculate effective length , or end correction factor into port length? Not a huge difference in tuning , but if i have a 7" wide port and if using the wall of the box as one side of the port, i effectively have an additional 3.5" to add to the physical port length correct?

when i change the end correction it changes the port length. so yes winisd calculates that into port legnth imo

not sure exactly what effective length is, but winisd gives the a little longer port length than carstereo calculator does, so i think its most accurate. ram designs uses the car stereo calculator, so it and winisd are pretty close imo

I see winISD as providing the entire port length needed. So you need to assume that that length will be reached when you factor in end correction. End sorrection will really only change things maybe by one cycle(hz), so it's really not a big deal if you don't take it into consideration. Because even though you are gaining port length, you're also taking away box volume...and with a slot port, it's not going to be a big difference when it's all said and done.

with the end correction, assuming a 7" wide port using one box wall. approximated end correction an added 3.5" then. would this 3.5" be taken as port displacement? since it is not actually part of the "physical" port? or if it is taken into the port displacement, assuming port is 7" wide 20" tall, port displacement of the end correction of 3.5" would be (20"x3.5"x3.5")/1728 because i see the end factor of the port at a 45 degree angle from the box wall to port wall correct?
