Does this wire look too hot???? (PICS)

It's hard to tell the actual color of the wire because of the sunlight, but i tried getting some pics up.

As you can see it better in the second pic, the wire turns brownish/redish by the fuse holder. is this normal or should i be worried?

yeah it is knu kolossus 1/0 wire.

but why knu?

is it normal or should i be worried? I felt the wire, its warm, then again its under the hood, and its sure as hell not gonna be cold.

As long as the jacket doesn't start melting it should be fine...

Or unless you are pulling too many amps but if you haven't blown the fuse then I doubt that is the case...

yeah, it is the red/silver color, but you can see the wire in the second pic turning brown as you get close to the fuseholder

hmmm it may be that it is just getting hotter at the point of being exposed to the engine heat. ive seen some wires turn odd colors just from exposure to heat in some car's due to the layout of the engine and where the battery is located! i dont think there is anything to worry about though

I've seen some wires turn funny colors due to oil leaks and the like too... Plus you have to consider general road grime and dirt... But I don't think he is running into either of those issues. I would say that it is just the heat from the engine compartment, plus the heat from the electrical transfer...

jus keep an eye on it and if the plastic Surround for a bit. and if it starts to melt then you should be worried
