A pretty good bit of fail in this thread.

Saying that a type R can handle that much power is absurd. Sure, you may have ran one on a 2,200rms amp but what about box rise? You may have been getting 500-100rms. I dare you to run a true clean 2,200 rms to one.

And as far as the trunk being closed making it louder, that is not true for most cars that fire into the cabin. I'm .8db louder with the trunk popped.

Looks ok, but not loud. with 1200 you should be doing much more, must be doing something wrong. wow,you said single sub set-ups, not smaller single sub set-ups, what a *** ,and why would i get offended by 2 type r's? My numbers are 144.5 in the kick,sealed on the TL,peaked at 45htz, and that's with my current set-up and shitty box.......what are your numbers again?

umm.... I've seen a single Type R 15 run off an Aq2200d at 1 ohm for a few on late nite tip.... it ran hard but sounded great. and if the aq2200d isn't clean 2200 watts then what is? but no it wouldn't run that power as a daily driver no but still ran it for about 20 min and still works great after it back on the 1500 rms it runs daily..

The sad thing is that Alpine4life89/endofdays89 used to be worse.

He's running a 9887, I believe. Keep that, sell everything else, and start looking for new stuff.

I said at an actual 2200rms, not on a 2200rms amp while playing music. Your box rise could have been at 4-8ohms for all you know....
