Does the distribution block (0/1 to 4/8) have to have fuse?

I noticed you can by distribution blocks with or without a fuse...

What do most of you guys recommend?

(I will obviously have a fuse near battery)

No, if your already fused your fine. I would fuse each amp, but atleast you have the main wire fused.

It's a choice/preference really. Some do, others don't.

Fuse the 1/0 into the block and then fuse the runs of 4 gauge out of the block.

You should fuse the distribution block due to situations where the 4 gauge wires short out drawing around ~200a but it isn't enough to blow the 300 or 350a fuse through the main wire

they're really not hard to install or expensive to buy
