Does the Big 3 Actually Do Anything?

question... i running a diamond audio d61000.1 1000rms at 1ohm and a 150rms and i did the big 3 with 1/0 wires...

my headlights dont dim but my interior light do.. dome lights and map lights... etc.

is this because my headlights are wired my battery? i have retrofits and the ballasts are wired to a relay wiring harness that has a built in fuse and the powered directly from the battery but is still plugged into the factory harness to turn on etc...

to the OP.. take it to a audio shop and have them do it so you don't have to **** with it.. lol

try upgrading the batt-> fusebox wiring

I was thinking that, but the ones around here, when I asked if they did Big 3's and they said "What's that?".

So I that's out of the question.

I am going to get a Yellow Top D34. Then wire the amp power directly to the battery instead of it running through the jumper.

what does upgrading the fusbox to batt wire do? more voltage for interior lights etc? and is it just the + to + on the fuse box and batt?

i don't understand what you mean by having your power wire running thru a jumper but yeah your amp should be powered right from the batt. The Big 3 will help tho...it won't eliminate light dimming it just upgrades your electrical current and makes it easier for power to flow from the Alt to the Amp....and it really is easy to do. Sux that you have to lift your car to get to the alt. Can't you just jack it up? That'll be the only hard part...

Lift the car to get the battery...the Alt is almost impossible to get to, you have to take apart the entire front end to reach it.

that yellow top aint going to do much for you w/o the big three...

yes, same idea as the big three, upgrade the path b/c there is voltage drop between the batt and light...

if your headlights aren't dimming but your interior lights are, then it's not the fact there isn't enough power, it just is getting voltage drop on the way. So upgrade the path and it ought to help

just find a "big three tutorial" and print it out.... a mechanic could do it just as well....
