Does my system require a SEPARATE BATTERY?

I have three AQsdc2.5 15"s powered by a Lanzar OPTI-2000d.

My current batt. is brand new, but nothing fancy. If I do need to get a separate batt., Im gunna get an Optima yellow top.

I just didnt know for sure If it NEEDED one, any advice?

Id run a deka in the back. Seattle206 had one of those amps and it definitly helped throwing another batt in there.

Any alt/single bat combo would have problems keeping up with those initial power demand from an amp that powerful. A second battery will definitely help smooth the voltage drops before the alt's reg kicks in to supply the power demand.

i would get 2 one in front another in back..seen 1 guy running 1 battery on a 3600 watt system with a 180 amp alt and all i will say is it wasnt cutting the mustard daily

Just get a Kinetik HC600. That should do great! BTW I live like 100 miles away from you lol. Clovis, NM

An HC600 is too small for that power - it would choak on the high demand and you'd still see bad voltage drops. He should go with something the size of at least HC2000.

i would put a powermaster d925 near the amp, and upgrade ur big 3 or even just the ground wires under the hood. i wasnt able to get to the alt. so me and jmanpc just did the ground wires and it helped me out. next for me to get put a d5100 under the hood. stock battery is only like 300a
