X2 I was thinking this. I may be wrong but I dont think the retire numbers throughout the whole league to where players on a different team than the player who's number is being retired cant wear the same number. For the bulls only , Not the whole NBA
Jordan was more than just a great player he was the greatest period. In the 80's Jordan came into the league on a Bulls team that was rebuilding and had no where near the teammates that Bird, Magic, or Isaiah had. Jordan's career peaked in the 90's, where those players were in their prime in the 80's.No he was a great player but definalty not worth retiring his number league wide over. look at the 80's he was unable to win a title against bird, magic, or isaiah.
