ok i am semi new to car audio and i just got a rather large system. i was wondering if i needed a cap. or if i would be fine without it. i have a jl 1000/1 and 2 13w6v2's. my lights dim alot at night. i have heard that the next best upgrade would be a cap. i just dont know anything about them or where to get one or two for cheap. any help would be great. thanx

the best thing u can do is upgrade ur alternator. that will be waaay more efficient than just gettin a cap

The best upgrade is an alternator that can supply the power. A cap is completely worthless. You are probably gonna need something like 150a alternator and mabye even upgrade your battery up front if its old.

Dont even worry about a cap. They are just a waste of money. Do some research on alternators before you buy to ensure you get the best price.
