Does foam in a can help rattling?

My trunk rattles, and I want it to beat. If you spray foam from a can into tho holes in your trunk and seal them up will it help the bass sound better? My friends told me to do this. Any suggestions?

it work to an extent, but get some damping material like rammat(equivelent to dynamat) or some spray damping for the trunk. this would help stop the rattling a lot more than that can of foam!!!!!!
