Does anyone use kicker for competition anymore?

I am sure they will,however every car is different in tuning so kicker or dd is user preference.

I like Kickers, Alma Gates had 48 1st-gen 10 inch L7s in her Bronco and it was the loudest vehicle in the world a few years ago. The L7s are only good for about 800~1000 watts before running into the not sure zone but the Solo-Xs can easily take more than 3k watts.

I can't find any comp vids of the 12" solo-x but here's an 18 inch Solo-x doing 155.8 @ 47Hz with 6000 watts.





I'd say the Solo-X is 100% capable of getting loud but the install makes a huge difference. It is much more impressive to do 150dB @ 30Hz than 150dB at 60Hz but the deebeez are what matters in competition.
