Does anyone use kicker for competition anymore?

My buddy use to have ALOT of kicker stuff. He was thinking about getting back into the car audio field and start going to some bigger competitions. Does anyone use kicker at all anymore for major shows?

Not into the comp scene....but would guess that kicker still shows up in every comp out there...

I haven't been to a major comp ever so I had no idea. He was hitting a 159.9 legal in early 2000. His name is all over the Termpro forum actually. He wants back in to the audio scene and we are starting to rebuild. He was a pretty big name at the time actually. Team PSI, Team Gates and a few others from 2002-2008. Hes still big into kicker so we decided to do a kicker system for him.

Just say no to Kicker.

There are sooooooo many better products available now....for cheaper.....its not even funny anymore. Kicker = Mass produced sh!t now.

Do the solobarics get counted as a "round" sub when determining cone area, or does the MECA/USACI etc chart have a section for square subs?....

I have not really seen kicker at any comps lately. In the amatuer class here and there, but never much higher then that

i still see folks competing with solo x's and L7 10s...they don't sound the greatest but put up good numbers

don't believe there is a rule between round and square subs for usaci when competing streetbeat

ever since kicker got rid of their team they went down the crapper with SPL, and they REALLY screwed a bunch of people over when they dropped the team...

I saw a guy that competed with 2 solo x's last year, but that was all I was. He he 4 memphis 4k's to each solo x.

Im surprised you dont see more CVXs, just based on how cheap you can sometimes find them

He only has some kicker components and he can find some solo x's for pretty cheap.
