does anyone own an ma hk598???

i cant find the correct power ratings, and i called MA but it still seems a little odd. he said it is 400w x 4 @ 2 ohm, some sites say that too, as well as the manual, but 1600w rms for a 180 dollar amp new? the ma hk898 is the same price new and its only 500w x 2 @ 2 ohm. you could get the 4 channel for the same price and have more power....alot of sites say the hk598 is 200w x 4 @ 2 ohm....thats more believable, but i dont know......does anyone know for sure? how could i test this amp when i get it (i just got one off ebay, if anything, i can resell...)

well.. Im pretty sure ma rates their amps @ like 17v or something risiculous...

Ive never used their stuff, so thats just stuff Ive read on the interwebz

because every other sites ive seen says the same thing i posted and sonic electronix is the only one that says otherwise...

i dont know man, to me i cant trust those ratings.

dont know what to tell you except that it was a misprint in the manual and sonic electtronic used the misprinted manual to get their info from to post on their site. my argument is that Online car stereo is an authorized MA sales site and they say the ratings i gave...that the only argument i can come up with //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

and besides my experience tells me most 4 channels amps work that way. sorry that im no help lol

i agree with the ratings from onlinecarstereo.com, thats why i made this thread. lol oh well
