Does anyone know what has happened to Mark Potts (a.k.a Spkrman)?

he might be busy, if he is that busy wiht his overpirced stuff then he shoudl be able to hire soemone that doesnt build crappy looking boxes.
the guy is waiting for ports.. not a house, not a custom ordered car, not 1000 subwoiofer order... some ports...

mark bragged about how he made a rig to quickly and efficiently make the 6" poorts.... obvisouy he is lieing and using a bowl and a heat gun like everyone else.

oh wait i forgot, it takes a couple months to go to the store, buy some pvc, flip a bowl over, heat the end and push down.

The process is simple, take an order, recieve payment, finish order.

If he is overwhelmed then he should tell people as they order, then atleast it woudl be understandable.

He doesn't use a bowl or a heat gun.

I'm not making excuses for him. Honestly, i don't know why he's so backed up. Probably because he sleeps in the afternoon and works at night. If i have the time, i'll start helping him out more so we can get shit out the door quicker. I hate having people PM me asking why its taking so long for their ports or box.

This situation will get resolved just like all the other ones have. Sorry that it's taking so long. Unfortunately, thats just how it is sometimes.

Most of the people saying mark should be banned just don't realize how much shit he actually has to do. Most people don't have to build 3 completely designed, built, and FINISHED (meaning carpeted, painted, and wired up) boxes in one day, let alone leave enough time to pack up and ship them.

I'll call mark and see whats up.

Thank you Tommy. I can certainly appreciate him being extraordinarily busy. I am in California at the moment on business and then no sooner than I get home Saturday, I turn around and drive back to Atlanta for another week of classes. Meanwhile my wife is at home with a rental car trying to resolve a matter where her car was totaled out due to an accident. I truly sympathize with being busy. What I don't understand is when he sends me an e-mail that says the ports are on the way, but that the tracking info is in his vehicle and that I should shoot him a reminder to get the information from his vehicle. I simply look forward to a resolution in this matter.

No its that we dont care. If your too busy turn down the money. Dont take the money then ignore the person. Dont give me shit about too busy, because he doesnt do half the shit a real shop does in a day. I will put the workload of someone like OC Elite Customs against TCAB anyday and they dont leave you hanging. If they are backed up they let you know ahead of time and give you a realistic estimated date, and wont hesitate to talk with ouy to put your mind at ease.

nah i dont have a problem with tommy really just bustin his balls since he seems to take all of marks heat because mark isnt man enough to do the right thing most of the time.

He told me 3-4 weeks and it will be 4 weeks on june 18th and i sent him a few emails he sent me a pm saying i will have an update soon a while back and i didnt get one yet so im just waiting all i know is that i neeeeeeed my box cause i have a show coming up i need it for on june 23rd. And if i dont have it im not going to be very happy.

A real shop also has more than one person to do a job.

Mark is by himself, but hopefully not for long. I know that the timeframe situation is all f*cked up, but a lot of the boxes are built and delivered in time. Some I know have been early. We just need to make up a system where orders are placed into a chart when they are made so we know which boxes were ordered first.

I hate to see one person only wait 2 weeks for a box while another waits 3 months.

But, as usual, the few people with problems make the situation look much more worse than it actually is sometimes. Not to say there isn't a problem, because there is, but these threads do more harm than good in most cases.

Hopefully. He told me 2-3 weeks. The 16th will be 4 weeks. I would like to have it before the 18th, but it probably won't happen. But I NEED it before the 25th.
