They are directly from each credit reporting agency so thats good. There may be other creditors out there that just haven't decided to report you to the credit bureaus yet, but that should be minimal.I am doing that right now... Now are these reports really accurate?.... or do some things slip by I would assume?

Your report is your best method of figuring stuff out. Don't be suprised if a little down the road something else pops up though.
You may have recently moved or something. They don't have enough background info on you to give you an online report.Apparently It wont let me do it online, I have to ask by mail. Its okay though.

To answer your question, don't do debt consolidation. First, pull your credit report. Find out who it says you owe and get their contact information. Your credit report may have a lot of inaccuracies on it. You'll want to contact each creditor by letter disputing the debt. It is up to them to provide proof that you owe them the debt and what the actual amount is. If they do not provide this proof within 30 days, they are obligated to remove any negative remarks from your credit report. Contact them again requesting this. You may also contact the credit buerau to request the removal. After you've determined who you owe and how much, you can then negotiate with the creditor on the amount they will accept as final payment. Set up a payment plan with them and pay it off and on time. As part of the negotiation, make them remove all negative remarks as you pay the debts off.
