Does anyone here have a huge system but absolutely not listen to rap or r&b?

I have nothing against rap or r&b, but I don't like it and won't listen to it. With that being said, i have a 15" Fi Q and an orion 1200d on the way. I listen to a lot of stuff, mainly rock and alternative, but i am beginning to question how overkill this really is (not that it will cause me to reconsider or anything like that. I think car audio setups are just too cool).

edit: and it appears that my title does not make a whole lot of grammatical sense...lol

The ones that do generally consider a "system" to be more than a subwoofer and an amplifier //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

And a 15" with over a kW of power is definitey not overkill if tuned correctly. Lots of instrumental stuff demands a powerful low end...

i listen to rock mostly now and pop and some country, country is almost all bass guitar and some drum bass and pop music is the same...for my setup that is...it's harder hits, then when i put on some rap and r&b it's awesome lows and those sine waves that i just luv. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

good to hear, i can't wait till i have it installed. It should be pretty impressive. I'll use this thread to piggy back another question. Should i use 1/0 guage or 4 gauge. The wiring thread says that 4 gauge should be fine, but it is pretty close to the max. I don't wanna screw up with shitty wiring after all

go 2 gauge then lol.

thicker wire=less resistance= more power //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

so yeah 2 gauge i'd go with //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

having a good system that covers the audible frequency spectrum makes all your music come to life! Especially when its loud. (my boyz 12th of Never are freakin LOUD! LOL) I listen to new age, rock, classical, country, jazz, you name it...not that you care... but some of the natural low low bass is incredible and makes your hair stand on end... I like rap too, but anymore most of the "music" is synthesized (makes it what it is I spose.) Wanna try something new, listen to Some Mannheim Steamroller, or anything else by Chip Davis.

either that or sampled from something like a 70's or 60's song
