Jesus christ, getting a reply without sarcasm and satire must be like pulling teeth when it comes to this question.

Atleast entertain my weird question by pointing me a link, or even baby me into understanding why its so out of this world to ask such a question.

because more than likely the productions cost would be to high too high and they wouldnt sell enough to make up for that, only think I can come up with.

Edit: oh and if ya dont like the sarcasm, ya wont like this place man //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

its like askin why not make an 8" XXX?
that would be cool tho hehe
If their reasons are the same as what ours would be... Just not as much demand for a sweet 8" as there is for the 10" or 12" variant... You can get a 10 to fit in most locations you could have crammed an 8" with some work and they rly don’t cost much more money to mfr... but that 10" will bend the 8" over...

Not to mention a custom basket to get any kind of stroke out of an 8" = more expensive than most mfrs want to stomach (and have to justify passing along to price resistant customers)...

The soundsplinter RL-i 8 is prolly the best 8 I can think of... but why get it when you can get the 10" and fit it in almost the same box and get more output //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

That would be a little more extreme than one line up

I dont know though, I could have sworn RE was a car audio enthusiast company, made for car audio enthusiasts by car audio enthusiasts. Judging from all the criticism the re8 gets for not hitting low enough/bottoming out I would have thought they would have wanted to make an 8 for the SE line.

Yup the basket cost would ****. I'd also have to agree a 10 would work in most spots. Never seen an se in person but, i'd think someone with limited space would prolly want a smaller mounting depth as well.

I don't see why the 12 spoke Venezuelan basket used on other relatively large excursion 8's (like the eD unit) would not work for an SE8. I mean, the other sizes of SE's already use that same basket. Id guess the problem is in the tooling costs versus estimated demand, but I doubt its from the cost of the frame... that's already existing.

It is not the same as asking why there is no XXX8. The XXX motor is 9" in diamter, hence an 8" cone would be nearly impossible to implement. The SE does not have this obstacle to over come as its motor is much smaller.
