****best Amp For 2 Jl 10w3-d2's????????

right now i have 2 jl audio 10w3-d2's powered by a memphis16-st1000d mono amp... its 1100 watts i think or something like that.... i was wondering if there is a better amp to run?they are wired in parallell series...is that too much power? they sound pretty good, but i was wondering if they would sound better with a less powerful amp? im looking at a jl 500/1 amp but any other suggestions?
