does any body know how to discharge a rockford capacitor I lost the thing that came with it to charge and discharge

so can any body help me out please.

You need to use a resistor in the circuit, don't discharge it through a dead short...the exact values escape me at the moment (depends on the capacitance).

Just unhook it and leave it in your house for a week. That'd be the safe way. Caps (by design) generally "leak" power like a paper cup with a pinhole in the bottom.

Alternatively, if you're in an incredible rush, unhook your battery, and turn your key on. Your system will draw from the cap because it's the only source of power. Give that about 2 seconds and your cap will be 100% drained.

u better get a rubber or latex cover on it when discharging it or u could have some sort of accident.
