Does having a small system (one 10" sub and 450 watts amp) in your car affect your gas milage in any significant way? Im wondering because i'm not getting the same milage as other people with the same car and no system....

Not unless your box is massive.......

the average 10" sub only weighs about 15lbs. Most sealed boxes housing 1 10" sub weighs about 25lbs. A single amp let's say 15 lbs.

25+15+15=55lbs..........This is nowhere near enough weight in your trunk to cause a noticeable difference in mpg.

Check out your fuel injectors or spark plugs/wires.......

Is your car jerking back and forth? Does it have the shakes?
