Not saying you doing it wrong. Just showing that maybe using screws would be better if your not using clamps.

Did this on the first box i made. Did really well actually.If I had enough clamps I would never use screws or nails, just glue.
Yup.nail gun is a lot faster. But i use both depending on what i run into. Sometimes a nail wont close a gap, which is where screws come in
