Well? I always feel akward at sonic, ive never tipped then or know anyone that has but they always got that look like there expecting something. I usually just pay with my debit card just to avoid that, even tho sometimes they act like Im handing them cash when i go to grab the receipt.

And why did JimJ delete every thread lol

I dont go to sonic that often, but I do tip when I go, even if im paying by debit.
When i pay cash they tell me how much change i have left if i give em like a 20 and wait for my response, i find it funny. Like ***** gimme those quarters

Its a fast food place, I wouldn't. I mean, I don't tip McDonald's employees.
Thats what im sayin, but they do walk your food to you, but then again I dont go there so i can watch them bring it to me, no more of a convenience then pulling thru mcdonalds.

I tell them just to give me back the dollars and keep the change. I have given a dollar a couple times, they make like 2.50 an hour.
I thought they made a law to atleast pay em minimum wage. Sometimes Ill tell em keep the change but if its like 75 cents i get them quarters and throw em in a jar, bring it to the bank a few months later bam 300$

They don't do anything that warrants a tip, imo. I think that's pretty shitty that they expect you to tip them, when they don't do anything but walk a few feet out. Do you tip McD or BK employees? No.

Yes, my girlfriend knows someone who used to work there, and the employees expect you to tip or they basically think you're shitty for not tipping.

Are you kidding? It's Sonic!

I have two rich friends that are stuck up as hell and they feel embarassed when I don't tip... I am like... WTF THEY WORK @ SONIC.

And I tip @ restaraunts based on service... Alot of people complain about their service and food and still tip well... WTF IS THAT?

The point of a tip is to earn it, it is not a standard. It is a tip. If it was standard for them to make that extra buck, they would be paid it via payroll.

Although none have ever gave me a bad look or actually asked for a tip, you can tell they want one pretty bad, definatly creates some akwardness, but im buyin a 5$ meal, if they deserved a tip itd be like a quarter or 2 at most. I bet they can go to mcdonalds and make more because i dont know ANYONE that tips at sonic.

I also think that guy who walks around with mints is hilarious, gotta be the worst job ever lol. If i was craving a mint i might throw a quarter his way
