do you lose gas mileage in winter?

Really? I'd assume using 91 octane would be better than 87. Any specific info? Curious to know the details.
i never checked it specifically.....but it was enough to tell the difference just by driving it...

Depends on the car and driving style.
87 octane requires less heat and pressure to combust, but can pre-combust at high engine speeds, high stress (i.e. towing), and/or in high ambient temperatures. This can result in pre-mature engine failure.

Always use the octane level your manufacturer recommends.
thats why i said my G...as in we both have G35 sedans....some motors don't end 93 octane....ive seen motors on dyno's make less horsepower on 118 race gas than 100 octane...just because the motor doesn't need it for the compression ratio so low

I get better mileage in the winter.

Here in California we use 10% ethanol in our summer gas, which hurts mileage.
I can vouch for that. Best I ever did in summer was 25, but for last week I've been getting 35 regularly!

No if you use 4WD, that is less power needed per wheel which should improve your MPG. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
Just curious....are you serious? Like, do you honestly believe that is true? That was such a ridiculous statement that I can't tell if you were serious or not, so good work if thats what you were going for.

This is 100% wrong //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

An AWD drive vehicle will weigh more due to the transfer case. Added weight = less MPG. That's a factual //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

cars run harder, usually starting your car for a while before driving it wastes some gas, and having the heater at full blast can have some effect too.
I was getting 300 miles with a full tank in the summer and now i get around 265.
no, it can't //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

car heat is powered by the warmth of engine coolant

The air is more dense in winter needing more fuel to compensate equalling less MPG. Aslo 4 wheel drive if you have it, puts a greater load on the motor. Warming cars up etc etc
