Do you like your job/career?

i work at wal-mart currently. it sucks and the pay is decent. my one year is coming up at the end of december and i'll be making 8.70/hr. i plan on going to school for web design (career training program at my local votech) come january and try my hand at that. pay range is $10-$50/hr but that depends on experience and how skilled you are among other things. (i.e. who you work for). should be quite the experience.

I like working at Wal-Mart...mainly because I only have to work 30 hours a week...It gives me plenty of time for my car audio hobby //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif ..... I can't help it if some people don't feel its a real job...If I wasn't doing my job they'd hire someone else to do it...In fact I'm not the only buggy gitter at my Wal-Mart...There are 6 of us hired for different shifts...My favorite is the late night shift...even though I'm suppose to do buggies...they still have me stocking shelves...and that is fairly easy work also...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Do you like your job/career?
Im a senior in high school trying to decide what to do... I know I like building stuff/hands on stuff... etc. Right now I might do architecture but Im getting bored with the stuff were doing in drafting. And right now Im stuck in a dead end job, but I have no intentions to stay in it. Was thinking about being a mechanic or maybe an electrician.

Just wondering what yall do and if you enjoy it?

Sorry, to be the queer bag posting his issues on an online forum... but just wanted to see what yall do and all that. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif
Drafting class is nothing like what you will be doing in a real career, I am going to school for Mechanical Engineering and I remember how shitty drafting class was lol. Plus Architects make big bucks!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/greedy.gif.5a53e6246569d7ab79867170f3b06629.gif :greedy: //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/greedy.gif.5a53e6246569d7ab79867170f3b06629.gif

I dont guess I have an official title...but I work at a body shop doing body work/whatever work the boss tells me to do. $10 an hour, work when I want to and my boss is cool as shit. The downside is I have to drive 30-45 there and back...but it's worth it at times. I'm also in the process of figuring out something to do with my life to get out of the hard labor though.

I guess you could say I have 3 jobs; each with different pros and cons.

My main source of income is working for the air force. I am a financial analyst. The job pretty much sucks but the pay $16.83 is not bad at all. The benefits are decent. It would be a much better job if I didn't have much ambition.

My secondary job is working for Lowe's. I am a head cashier. I really like the job, but they won't pay me what I make with my government job. I only work there about 25 hours per week.

The hobby-job is trading options. I am just recently being able to be actively involved in it. I love the challenge and the just everything about it. I love following the stock market. I couldn't be a broker because I don't care too much about selling anything and wouldn't be a trader (at the CBOE) because Chicago has too cold weather. Hopefully one day I can just work at Lowe's and trade options. If I ever get good enough to make $50k per year trading, then I will quit.

I know these careers aren't as technical, but can give you some insight into the different careers those involved in car audio do.

I fix the electronics and hydrolics in Tanks. It sucks 7 more months left. I pulled in around 30k this year but that was with combat zone pay. Only good thing is I dont pay for food housing electricity water and any other bill type of stuff so all income is straight in my pocket. Going to a Federal Job after this.

I worked at walmart for about 6 1/2 months as an Unloader. Started at 6.20 an hr. Had to help unload on average 10-12 trucks with usually a 4 man crew every week. I quit that shithole nearly a month ago & now work at Lowes where I make $8.51 an hr and unload 2-3 trucks a week with a 8-9 man crew. Rest of the time I ********. Got to leave 2 whole hours early today. Love it.

12+ trucks a wk with a 3-5 man crew @ 6.60 w/ tues & weds off & having to work on thanksgiving & xmas & never getting to leave early & getting off at 1am...

or

2-3 trucks a wk with an 8-9 man crew @ 8.51 w/ sat & sun off & having thanksgiving & xmas off & getting to leave early a couple days every week & get off at 1pm everyday...

You choose.................
