Do you currently have an amp at CIA Engineering?

If so. Please post the brand and model of the amp and how long have they had it.

The reason I ask is: I sent in an Autotek mm4000.1 close to 5 months ago. It was under warranty so i had no choice but to send it to CIA. after numerous e-mails and false deadlines i finally talked to a Rep from Maxxasonics and was told that they were still waiting for the parts to be made and shipped from an overseas supplier and that she understands that 4-5 months is a long time to wait for an amp but then tells me there are people that have been waiting over a year for there amp to be repaired. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

Needless to say, I am NOT going to wait a year for my amp to be repaired.

so i posted a thread freeadvice.com. a legal advice forums. I was advised to send an email to Maxxasonics stating:

Dear Maxxasonics:

Clearly a reasonable time frame for repairs has elapsed. While I feel for customers who have been waiting for a year, I am not willing to be one. You can see that it is mutually problematic to offer warranty coverage on products you no longer support.

I propose two options as solutions

1) You can return me the purchase price of the amplifier

2) You can provide me with a substitute amplifier of equal or comparable audio performance.

I sent them the email 2 days ago and have had no response. I will wait till this monday and then ill do the second thing i was advised to do on freeadvice.com wich is:

File a complaint with your local Office of Attorney General consumer affairs section .

Print everything out you posted here , and in your complaint state you want a full refund .

When you call to have them send you a formal complaint form , ask if they have any other complaints on the repair facility and/or manufacture.

Your message to Maxxsonics is a bit too emotional, but you are on a right track. They probably just lost your amp several month ago and waiting until you get tired and admit a loss... Do you have any warranty papers, describing your rights in warranty claim process? I would try calling Maxxsonics again, get to the regional rep and raise a lot of hell, threatening with lawsuit. They have solid profits from outsourcing many good brands, so they should be able to refund your money easy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I have reciptes and waranty info

I like to take girls from myspace to myplace and let them sit on myface
That was awesome man... Do you have time to do it again, because that'd really be great if you could!! Wow, neato.

To the OP, I'm not huge on Maxxsonics C.S. either lol. The lady that answers the phone the few times that I've called has been far from a nice person. She gave off this vibe of "Ughhh, I shoulda went with Jacob" It's really depressing, so I don't call there anymore.

the last time i talked to her she was very nice untill she was hanging up the phone....It sounded as if she was actually giggling as she was hanging up. Like, hahaha i just fed that guy i line of Bulls**t, and he fell for it

CIA engineering had my XX-hercules under warranty just this last year, first they fixed it and sent it back (took 4 months). It got back to me broken, again, i sent it back, and after 4 more months i called maxxsonics and let loose. The result was a new BXI2607, so props to maxxsonics, but **** cia engineering

I called Maxxsonics and told them after hearing all the horror stories about CIA engineering and the fact that most amps come back still broke or break within the first few hours that i didnt want my amp back, I wanted a refund or a replacement amp. After about 30 minutes she decided to send me an XXV-colossus. It should be here today //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif It isnt quite as powerfull as the MM4000 but then again i didnt need it really, this amp will do the job. Better then waiting another 5 months //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Well if it makes you feel better... I bought an amp off an eBay store and it is DOA. It turns on, just doesn't have any output power... and I am SOL because they won't work on it unless I bought it from a certified dealer... WAHOO!!! $140 gone //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

So do you guys think that they handle repairs from maxxsonics better than they do people that just send there amps in??? I just sent my amp into them last week and I talked to guy early and he said he was gonna send a note to them to try and find my amp and get it bumped up to the bench.
