Alpine MRP-M500 amp to run 10" Type R??

Just bought a 10" Type R from the Best Buy outlet on Overstock.com. Now I need an amp to power it. I was thinking about this alpine: MRP-M500

It is a mono-block that does 500 RMS x 1 @ 2ohms which is what I'll be running as the TYpe R is a DVC 4 ohms. How does that look to you guys? 500 RMS sub and 500 RMS amp should be a perfect match right?

Do it! Although I though the 10" Type R was 300rms, no?

Edit: It is in fact 500rms.
