Do subs sound good if mounted in a truck's box?

If I were to put a sub in the box of my truck which has a waterproof fiberglass hard cover on top would the sound quality be bad or lessened? I had a regular size cab with little room behidn the seat and no place to put a large cone other than the box. Up until this point I have had a Bazooka 10" tube sub which sounds great but cant get very loud.

Unless you have some way to vent the sub into the cabin it wont do much good, unless your goal is to piss off the car next to you.

They cut out the rear wall of the cab and front wall of the bed and put a box in the bed. Aka the "BLOWTHROUGH"

just get some shallow mount subs or 8's.
