If you have to ask this question, they will be plenty loud for you..

If something recommends 1000 RMS, give it 1000 RMS.

I wonder what size box you should put it in though! Why would you ever follow the guidelines on their site

my 12" fi q d2, gets plenty low and loud. i have it in a 2.5 cu ft box @ 30 hz. And it is very loud. i deadened my doors, front floor, and trunk lid with multiple layers, and my trunk lid still rattles, my rear deck flexes so much, that the 3rd tail light inside comes up and hits the window. Is that loud enough for you?

Yeah, the Q's play loud and low just fine. 1k rms is just fine. Good box is a MUST.
