Do people on CA not like Critical Mass? Why?

I understand your point, you could also compair it to a mustang gt, 0-60 in 5.5-6 seconds, for 30k or so, then you can get a ferarri for with the same specs for 90-100k. does a home audio system that has $10000 towers sound that much better than my home system?
At the end of the day it is all were you place value, what is the limit for you. I think in the progression of life youstart out by saying why pay $300 for a 12" dd sub when I can get an mtx 12 for $120. then you progress to the DD and say whay pay 600 for an idmax ... until you find your limit. The limit is subjective it think, it is what sounds good enough for you for the money you are willing to spend. If that $100 steak tastes a little better, it is worth the extra money, as long as you value the better taste. What make a Rolex presidential worth $15k does it do any more than my Tissot? nope. but it is worth more.

This is all for conversation sake;)
I coundn't agree more. I think it's all about perceived value. I can't for the life of me figure out why my wife wants a $500 PURSE! But I wouldn't think twice about dropping a grand on an amp or two, go figure.

when a $90 tryp arrgh has 85% of the performance of a $2000 mass, why would anyone (with ny sense) buy the mass?
there is many reason, as i was talking with the guy not to long ago about putting tunes into his porshe boxer. his best bet is some bad *** ****ing 8". the point if it all is everyone has there preference's, and in some case's you just cant fit all the room you need for your knock off brands. i personally wouldn't buy one for myself but i also don't have a space issue and lots of spare kicker crap lying around. lets not bad mouth him just because he has the extra money.

I am looking into the coaxials...but they are mighty pricey....and after getting jacked...not willing to drop very much on car audio anymore.

waht did they get?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/verymad.gif.3f39c5c2fd57527b671fad3efdfac756.gif

well my moms KIA mini van is 85% as quick 0-60 as a Mustang GT and a bunch more practical, but I dont think you would pick the KIA over the GT would you:rolleyes:

I reolize that the higher priced stuff is not as easily attainable for the masses, but I see $600 subs traded all the time, and amps that go for more than that, not to mention comps. I am also not just refering to the UL12's they have a wider line than just one 12, the SS line the coaxes, I was just wondering, Is it looked at like the "the little rich kid toy"? or is there jsut a lot of ignorance in reference to the products?

why haven't i bought a cmass ul12 yet? i don't got $1000 for a sub and $1000 for a decent amp to push it right now.

my $300 idmax and $400 dls a6 covers my sq needs right now.

$2000 is quite different than $700
