i was workin the register at work (night shift ftl) and i saw 2 druggies comin (you can tell believe me!) as they approached the register:

me: can i help you?

them: "i need a"

me: cuts him off in mid sentance and slaps a 10 pack of needles on the counter and say: "$3.26 please"

them: "uhhhh, uhhhh"

believe it or not that seems to be the most common excuse!

ask them if they want the long or short needles and this is what you get:

"ummm....They're for my grandma, I think she uses the longs"

"I'm not sure, they're not for me" (bs)

they all buy the longs but sometimes they get confused and buy the shorts, then they come back with "my grandma/uncle/grandpa said these won't work" lol

We've asked them if they need some insulin too, just to see them freeze up.

an old employe tried to do the "puttin the needles on the counter before they say anything" when he saw some "druggies" coming toward the register......turns out they were undercover narcotics agents!!! lol, he freaked out!!!
