@SkarAudio ;
Consider this a message from an objective consumer. The type that likes to be informed about the decisions they're making, often spending HOURS going around to various shops, poring through manufacturer's sites and manual, and even perusing forums like this. The type that values the opinions of the consumer over the manufacturer:
Why can't you represent yourself properly, accurately, and ethically on a car audio forum? Andy of Harman Intl. does amazingly well on
DIYMA, I've yet to see anything questionable come from
@sundownz ; but you
consistently seem to either backpedal or play the same pre-determined message of "it's not our fault" or "the problem doesn't really exist, these aren't the droids you're looking for" or "you're just trying to make us look bad." I'm not a SKAR fanboy, I'm not anti-Skar from a quality standpoint because I have no personal experience of your product whatsoever. What I do have is the knowledge that time after time, you're stating that your actual customers are happy. And if that's the truth, then good on you for managing to keep your head above water but it doesn't seem like that's going to provide longevity for your company.
You need to put yourself in the position of the noobs of this site (yes, myself included). The guys who are going to spend five seconds Googling "Skar Audio" and come up with threads like this and an absolute MINIMUM amount of reviews stating anything about your actual product. So please don't ignore what we're trying to say. Do we always say it the right way? Of course not, this is THE DOME. But you still need to acknowledge what we say and take it as constructive criticism. That means not hiding in your paid subforum here and only coming out once in a blue moon to tell us what we've already heard from you.
I'm not going to begin to cover the news about your site providing viruses but let me say this: you do not want the backlash that will come if you
do have a virus on your site and it tries to latch itself to one of our government computers. So I'd recommend having your Web Design team take another look at the site and ANOTHER look before you get the attention of our ITs because, I'll be honest, they don't mess around.
