Do Kenwoods break alot?

I know motorized flip is when the entire face moves and is connected to little arms that shift it downward and tilt it, but what exactly is mechanical flip, and how is it different?
It means no electric gizmos to move the face plate, you just press the button and it flops down.

I had one of the first models of the flip faces of Kenwood. It just broke around the first of the year. I now have another Kenwood and the old unit is fixed and setup in my friends car. The electronics wise the units I've had (5 in total for car audio) have been nothing shy of well built. I've had Alpine, Panasonic, Sony, Aiwa, Pioneer, and Clarion. I love the Eclipse stuff, but I hate their service department.

All kenwood MASK cd players had ribbon cables on them that kenwood knows is defective, i was told that anyone that had one could send it in and get an updated part installed free of charge. i have seen a lot of them with the same problem. the non flip models were all good though, i just wish the kenwood's had a nicer display.
