Do I still need a cap?

I have a jbl 600rms amp running 2 12w3s. I just bought a yellowtop optima battery. Do I still need a cap to make sure that my car starts? I've gone through several batteries already because they keep dying out on me but this is my first try with the optima yellow top.

Will a 1 farad cap help me in any way?

A lot of people here will tell you no - A cap isn't neccessary.

No cap needed i had the same setup before jbl 601.1 and 2 12w3v2 u should be fine

is ur amp hooked up right....It seems like u might be draining ur battery or your alt is messed up.
