Do I really need an amp?

The Kenwood Nav unit claims 22x4 rms, but it's not cea compliant, so 15 sounds about right.

yes, an amp will make your speakers sound about 50x better lol. If you are really that concerned, buy a used amp, hook it up and if you don't like the sound difference then just use the deck and resell the amp and you will only loose like $15 for shipping.... not a bad deal at all if you ask me.
