Do i need to upgrade?

I drive a 2004 Honda Civic. I am wanting to skip the upgrading of the alternator because I dont know anything about it. Instead of messing with anything under the hood Couldnt i just buy a seperate battery to run my amps off that and have everything in the back?

Basically can i use a seperate battery to overcome the restrictions of my stock alternator?

Your alt can only give those batts so much power, depending on how much power your going to be running you should be fine most likely.
