Do I need another Power Source?

Right now i'm running two 12"L7s off a JL 500/1....I just got another 500/1 so that each sub can run off their own amp. Now my car (2001 Eclipse) isnt much to brag about (has a shitty alternator(*SP)) but i did throw in a red top battery. Anyways...to the question: I was wondering if maybe i would need a Cap or another battery (possibly) so that my car could push the power...or will i be fine with what i already have. Thanks

The best thing to do is install it, then see if you need more power. If you do, spend the $$ and get a new alt, best thing you can do.

Throw it in and find out (seriously).

There is no way for us to know whether or not your electrical system will handle it. Way too many variables.

To be honest, I imagine that Your car will be fine.

How often will those two amplifiers & an aftermarket HU be drawing more then 100amps total? Not often and not for very long cycles.

However, an alternator upgrade is never a bad idea (done properly of course). Nor is a battery.

You wont know without doing some tests with some scientific equipment and then doing some math

Install the second amp and monitor You voltage guage.

all right sounds good....however if i do choose to go with a new alt. (bc that is a doubt the weakest link) do you think just a brand new 90 amp one will do...or would you guy recommend any type of alternator in particular?

If You can find a larger amperage stock replacement one, You can try that.

Otherwise, I only, ONLY recommend Excessive Amperage. I've seen & had too many problems with Iraggi Alt. While Ohio Gen is seemingly the best out there, they charge an arm & a penis.

at excessive amperage, do you have to contact him for pricing... I can't even get an idea of what one will cost.. or if anyone here knows for a older chevrolet pickup 1975.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif old I said.. should be just a very basic one.
